My Experience with Glogster:
I had to create a Glogster poster for a book for a Technology course I took while getting my masters in library science. It looks like they have made it easier to add a video to the poster, because I remember how much trouble I had doing it last time. This was easy for me to do, because I had done one before. I like how the poster turned out. I did an assignment glogster that shows the students how the finished product will look, and where their information/photos/video are to go. I added pertinent pictures and a video on the subject (science- since I have been helping tutor science, and assigned a science expository essay).

I opened a Delicious account and added some links. I already bookmark sites in Chrome, so I don't know how much I would use Delicious. It was pretty easy to use. Adding links was very easy, but as I said before, I don't think I want to open something to find sites I like- I will already have Chrome open.
Google Docs

I have been using Google Docs for a few years now. I use them mostly for groups, such as parents of my kids's classmates (for planning Christmas/Valentine's parties), and for my daughter's Girl Scout troup (for planning campouts- who will bring what). I find them useful because everyone can have access to the latest information, and can add/edit information when needed. This beats having to keep sending emails! I also created a 5th grade parent email list for the other 5th grade teachers this year, but they had trouble accessing the link. I think it had something to do with the school internet. Feedly
I signed up for a Feedly account that I access through my Fabebook page. I can't post a URL that anyone else can get into because of this. I added many coupon links, frugal living links, my favorite comic strip link (Calvin and Hobbes) and Ft. Worth links that includes hole in the wall restaurants. I changed the color of the left hand side of the page to aqua and changed many of the preferences.
PLN
I do think it is important for teachers to have a personal learning network, because they enable us to get different ideas/feedback from many professionals who have been there/done that, and know what works, and what doesn't. A personal learning network expands my circle of professionals beyond just those at my school (at a charter school, so don't have the extensive reach of an ISD).
Wiki
I used a Wiki for a class for my library science masters also, but I wasn't the one to set it up, I just added information to one that the professor set up. I set up a new one for Dr. Seuss Day at my school- April 27 (Read Across America Day). I invited the other teachers in my grade to join it, and set up 4 teams (1 for each teacher). I sent messages to the teams about which book their homeroom has been assigned.

Digital Storytelling

I used Bubblr to create a slideshow of images that includes bubbles for words. The slideshow talks about the school where I teach. I had fun creating this slideshow. I was able to find images that fit what I wanted to show, although I was limited to images in their archives. I haven't done this type of storytelling before; I am used to telling a story on video (of me).
Create a Graph
I created a pie chart using this tool. It was really easy and fun to do. The tab buttons on the right are arranged in the order they need to be done. All you have to do is plug in the titles and percentages for each slice of the pie. My pie chart showed my student's scores for their Reading STAAR test.
